L.A. red light cameras may double: good, bad?

Los Angeles red light cameras may double. L.A drivers are in a hurry to stop for the red lights. Currently 32 red light cameras are posted around the city. The fine for running a red light intersections is $446dollars. All of the cameras combined about $400,000 a month. Most people think they are just trying to make more money. Its good for safety reasons, reduces accidents. Some council members are waiting for data from law enforcement to see if the cameras have reduced accidents. It won’t happen until next year eventhough red light cameras program expand. Hope its for safety and to reduce accidents rather than making more money.
