5.9 quake strikes Northern California coast

On Feb.4, 2010 Thursday around 12:20p.m magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck Northern California coast. On Jan.9,2010 magnitude 6.5 eathquate struck the same region and caused more than 40million in damage. Far-northern coast of california is the most active area, but damages and injuries there is smaller because it is less populated. They get more and much bigger eathquakes up there. They have had more in the past and will have more in the future than any other part of California. Thousands of earthquakes occur all over the world each day. Most are too small to feel.
